Big Walk Release Date: When the House House Game Launched
The final release date and launch lineup, separated from old trailers, wishlists and pre-release articles that still say “coming soon.”

On this page
Big Walk released on August 4, 2026. It is available now rather than scheduled for a future window. Both the official FAQ and Steam listing show that date.
Launch platforms
The release lineup covers:
- Windows PC through Steam;
- Mac through Steam and the Mac App Store;
- PlayStation 5;
- Nintendo Switch 2.
The developer says no other platforms are planned at this time. That means searches for an Xbox, PlayStation 4 or original Nintendo Switch release date do not have an official date to report.
Why some pages still say “coming soon”
Search engines can keep old previews and trailer pages visible after a game launches. Big Walk had earlier reveal and gameplay material, so a result written before August 4 may accurately describe its own moment while being wrong for today.
Use the page’s update date and follow its primary-source link. A current store button that allows purchase is stronger evidence than an undated snippet saying “wishlist now.”
What launched with the game
Big Walk is a handcrafted cooperative adventure for 2–12 players. It includes crossplay across the released systems, proximity voice chat, in-game text chat, Join Codes, an automatically saved host journey and a defined ending.
It is not a random-matchmaking game. Groups organize themselves, and the same host is needed to continue the save over later sessions.
Before starting after release
A newly launched online game can receive patches quickly. Compare version numbers when cross-platform friends cannot connect: the first two parts, such as 1.2 in 1.2.3, need to match. Install updates before asking the host to restart repeatedly.
Check the official store for current price and regional availability. A launch discount is temporary and should not be confused with the regular US Steam list price.
The date question is now settled. The more useful planning questions are whether every friend owns a supported device, who will host and whether the group will use the intended in-game communication.
