Is Big Walk on Nintendo Switch? Switch 2 Support Explained
A precise answer to the confusing “Big Walk on Switch” search: which Nintendo hardware is supported and how it joins other platforms.

On this page
Big Walk is available on Nintendo Switch 2. It is not listed for the original Nintendo Switch. The official website consistently names “Nintendo Switch 2,” and Nintendo’s store URL identifies the product as a Switch 2 release.
That hardware distinction is important because searches often shorten both consoles to “Switch.” A result saying the game is “on Switch” may be technically ambiguous. For Big Walk, the launched Nintendo version requires the newer system.
Can Switch 2 players use crossplay?
Yes. Switch 2 players can join friends on Windows, Mac and PlayStation 5. A host can share the short Join Code created for each session, avoiding any need for every player to share the same platform friend service.
Big Walk supports 2–12 players on its released platforms. The host chooses a two-player, three-player or four-plus world and keeps the save between sessions.
Controls on Nintendo Switch 2
The official FAQ says Big Walk supports controllers and even the Switch 2 mouse mode. Controls can be rebound under Settings > Rebinding. Those options are useful for players who need a different layout or prefer pointer-style input where supported.
The game also includes several accessibility choices, including multiple crosshair styles, hold-or-toggle options, field-of-view adjustment, motion-reduction overlays and challenge skipping.
Is there an original Switch version?
No original Nintendo Switch edition appears in the developer’s platform list, and House House says no other platforms are planned at this time. That is the current official position as of August 7, 2026.
Do not treat “Big Walk Switch 1” autocomplete suggestions, retailer placeholders or videos discussing hopes for a port as confirmation. A real change should produce a House House announcement and a Nintendo product page for that hardware.
What to check before buying
Open the Nintendo product page on the same account region you plan to use. Confirm that the listing says Nintendo Switch 2, check the current local price and review any online membership note shown by Nintendo.
If the rest of the group uses other platforms, crossplay handles the connection. The more important planning choice is the host: that device stores the shared journey, so choose someone likely to return for later sessions.
